I’ll be honest and say I wasn’t sure I’d ever write these words, but here they are nonetheless; Ed Miliband was outstanding at PMQs today.
I would go as far as to say it was Mr Cameron’s worst ever PMQs. Even in the early days of opposing Tony Blair, I never saw him so roundly thrashed.
It is the issue that is the problem. It is just political suicide to try and push through reforms like these when the professions concerned seem so strongly ranged against you. Andrew Lansley has monumentally messed this up.
No wonder Downing Street sources are said to want to have him taken out and shot (politically speaking, of course).
