Whoever wins, the IMF will rule

Does it really matter which one of Ireland’s two conservative parties wins their general election? Not only are they virtually indistinguishable, leaving the Irish even less choice than we have in what is laughingly called the ‘mainland’, but the reality is whichever one of them wins in George Osborne’s shining example of the art of the possible in long-term economic policymaking… they will dance to the IMF tune!

No, they will dance to the EU tune conducted by ‘Kaiserin’ Merkel. And why not? They loaned them the money to keep going. You see, Councillor, that’s what happens when you spend money like a (half-blind Jock) sailor, sooner or later the money-lenders want it back.

Your ignorant remarks about someone’s disability show off the nasty sneering unpleasantness of our right-wing perfectly.

Don’t be silly! He is half-blind and he is a Jock and my accurate description does not compare in nastiness to your past digs at various Old Etonians!

Not, mind you, that I object to nastiness in principle. If you stand on a soap-box and seek my vote you deserve what you get.
