Now this is what we call a proper progressive partnership, leaving the yellow Tories to skulk in the wings with their new right-wing friends.

Lol, yellow tories? They seem a lot more left-wing than the red Tories we threw out of government.

In retrospect, the Libservative coalition in Leeds should have been a warning that the Liberals might go Tory. Anyway, great news that we’ve taken back the city.

  3. Dan says:

Yeah, you’re right, all these cuts are straight out of the left-wing playbook.
Really we should be thankful the Liberals have put Dave in power.

And meanwhile in Oldham the Tories and LibDems have formed a coalition despite Labour being the largest party and having gained seats, all the MPs being Labour, and the Tories not having won a single ward in the latest round of elections. So LibDems are quite happy for Silver and Bronze to make Gold when it suits them. All those that have seen the LibDems in local govt have known for a long time that the pursuit of power is the only consistent principle that they hold – they have just now proved on the national stage as well.
Are there any councils where we are still in a coalition with the LibDems? If so those concerned should get shot of them now – otherwise it will eventually end in tears

Ricardo – yeah, right. All that scrapping the CTF and stuff is sooooo left wing.
