Those of you with long memories will remember Nick Clegg (if Bill Jones wants the name of a current politician even more devastatingly uncharismatic as the Prime Minister, he need look no further than the walking disaster that is Clegg). He used to be the Leader of the Liberal Democrats at one time, and I faintly remember his ridiculous call for MPs to cancel their holidays because of the MPs expenses scandal.
This was, of course, nothing more than a publicity stunt, which now looks even more ridiculous when Liberal Democrats like the admirable James Graham are asking…. has anyone seen Nick Clegg?
Sadly, the disappearance of the Lib Dem party leader each August has become an established part of the Lib Dem calendar.
Much has been made of Gordon Brown’s absence of comment on the release of the Lockerbie bomber… but the chatterati appear to have hardly even noticed the absence of the hapless Clegg.

I’m no fan of Clegg but you he has an abundance of charisma in comparison to the dour one.
