You can imagine the headlines if the so-called ‘Super Casino’ had been awarded to the Dome in Greenwich. So, not to miss out on a story last night, Newsnight (the media wing of the KGB according to the Tories) trailed their story on the successful Manchester bid with… “We will never know the amount of damage John Prescott’s visit to Philip Anschutz’s Texas ranch did to the Greenwich bid.”

    I thought that John Reid was going to turn the Millennium Dome into a prison to ease the overcrowded prison estate?

    granted the right to build a super casino at Eastland’s ahead of bids from
    Blackpool and London. The reason it has been disclosed as purely
    economical as the casino will provide the Roulette, Fruit Machines, Black
    Jack and Poker Games, whilst the Crap Games will remain in the Man City stadium next door!

    I’m told-in good authority-that the Dome is going to be turned into a prison for ex-Prime Ministers and Lords if found guilty of pre historic crimes.
    Don’t say Gary didn’t warn you.
