Deal… or no deal?

So, the Conservative Party posts a website that uses a euphemism for masturbation to describe working people who get into debt on their “Tossers” site… and the Tories think it is OK. I post someone’s lampoon of that on my site… and the Tories get their knickers in a twist.
OK… here’s the deal. Cameron gets the tosser site shut down… I’ll remove the reference and link on my site because without that site, the spoof wouldn’t work anyway.

If you want to attack the tories why use soemthing that is so offensive to people of African-Caribean origin? I guess you don’t care about these people votes (just like the rest your party)

Bob, I think even you realise in hindsight that this was all a bad idea, but you aren’t going to let Tories (hiss! boo!) get the better of you, so you’ve resorted to a lot of immature, sneery and self-righteous comments at the negative comments left on your previous post. It is rather sad to see from you when your posts are usually funny even (especially) when self-deprecating.
Eating a sliver of humble pie when it first blew up may have spared you from this:

Not sure if last attempt to add comment worked so if this is a duplicate – sorry.
I have to say that the Tory campaign is immensely irritating and patronising towards youg people, and that it’s hard to imagine that anyone could come off looking the worse for criticising it.
Congratulations on managing the seeming impossible :(
In relation to the campaign, what they do not do is use “a euphemism for masturbation to describe working people who get into debt”.
They use a euphenism for masturbation to describe reckless borrowing to support extravagant spending. This is a very different thing.

Margaret… I think you are partially right, although I don’t think the remarks were ‘sneery’ to people who were making a serious point. I usually try to give them a proper reply. Nor do I think self-righteous fits the bill. I do genuinely think the Conservative site, pretending to talk in yoof language, was and is a nonsense. What Unity attempted to do, as Tim Worstall pointed out, in a less than subtle manner (although it’s possible it was too subtle for some) was to take the micky out of that Tory approach. The Tories (hiss! boo!) took advantage of that and exploited it fully. Fair enough… that’s politics, that’s life.
No-one has died (well, OK, Pinochet)… and dealing with this nonsense meant I was unable to post about Darfur yesterday on Human Rights for Darfur Day and where far too many people with black faces have died… but I don’t suppose anyone would have got excited about that.

    I’m about to have drink….

Is it Darfur where Muslim militias are killing Christians? I’m excited by it.

Don’t you just love those people who can write the history of the world on the back of a packet of Embassy tipped.
