iphone my MP   » Permalink  |  TrackBack (0)

Now, this strikes me as having a limited market. The iTunes App store are currently listing something called MyMP. I say limited because I can't really see the iphone generation sitting on the No.9 bus in the morning desperately trying to find out what John Spellar MP has been up to in the House of Commons. Bejewelled, it's not, but all the same, it seems an interesting concept. More details here from Public Zone.

It's also limited by the fact that in version 1.0, only Derek Wyatt MP is available, but it can't be long before gimmicky buggers like Cameron and techie sods like Tom Watson are grinning out at us from iphones everywhere... and as a method of enabling those with mobile phones to keep in touch with their MPs it certainly has potential.

Derek Wyatt is the founder of the All Party IT Group so that makes sense.

What I want is an iPhone App that tells me what Spellar gets up to OUT of Parliament :-)

Andy... you really don't want to know. Labour First is an obsession with these people, you're surely not thinking he might have ... a life!

What a patronising view you have of bus users and the iPhone generation, Bob.

Do you have such a condescending view of people who drive cars as well, or is that because all people who drives cars are guaranteed to vote, because they are middle class, whereas all those bus users are working class, so they can get stuffed?

Typical Labour - condescending, patronising and prejudiced despite their weasely words.

Rebecca, you can't (or at least shouldn't) use an iPhone while driving.

But don't let that get in the way of a self-satisfied rant.

Twonk - which meaning Bob? Or don't professional MP's take the trouble to learn the meanings of the insulting terms they use to communicate with the voting UK public, including ladies ?

From The Urban Dictionary:

1. Derogatory term, roughly equivalent to idiot. More insulting than berk, but less insulting that gimp. Thought to originate in the Victorian Era meaning a lower-class foreigner.
2. Comes from the old school days of the 90s means a cross between a twat and a plonker.
3. A cross between a twat, plonker and wanker. Not used as a serious insult, more of a friendly, playful insult.

Siht - I guess you're an anagram, but I'll leave it up to readers to come up with their own versions - any meaning you like! I really, honestly don't care.

And as for what professional mps do... no idea... find one and ask them, why don't you.

Why do I bother responding to these nitwits?

(Errm, The Urban dictionary says about nitwit - idiot moron fool simpleton dunce imbecile dimwit stupid nincompoop dork blockhead twit ignoramus cretin dolt jackass ninny donkey retard dope dummy halfwit dumbass dumb oaf fathead dunderhead jerk bonehead dumbbell numskull ass nerd boob half-wit buffoon loser birdbrain chump goon tomfool lunkhead clod turkey tool dipshit f*ckwit twerp dodo asshole)
