In the smoke…

Blogging unlikely today as I’m on the bransonmobile to London and I’ll be stuck there all day. Also travelling, none other than the MP for West Bromwich East… Who demostrated his willingness to forgo the luxury of a Virgin sausage sandwich and rub shoulders with the ‘different type of people’ you encounter in standard class

See what I mean when I wrote the other day of the appalling people one is likely to brush against in ‘cattle class’? Just imagine being squeezed in against Councillor Piper and hearing him sounding off non-stop from ‘Brum’ to London. You might almost prefer to be forced to listen to some yob’s ‘tranny’!

Actually, the service from Parkway to Marylebone offers a more comfortable journey. Times and not as frequent and the journey is slower – some thing to do with having too many trains on the track

I like that Duffers! Not bad, you’ve been commenting here for 2 years and at last you’ve elicited a smile.
Just shows how boring 3 hours can be on the train… I’m even finding your banal remarks amusing.

You certainly won’t find the likes of John Prescott in standard class, he always travels first class, yet another reason to take it.

The member for West Bromwich East’s selfless humility in opting to travel standard class with the rest of us curiously has never resulted in him claiming less than the member for Macclesfield in associated expenses. Quite the reverse in fact.
