Bob Piper has been a Labour Councillor for the Abbey Ward in Sandwell, West Midlands, for 10 years. He is a lifelong supporter of Aston Villa Football Club and a follower of Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

Seems everyone is sending them there festive cards. well, for all those reading this who haven't received one, and you know who you are, Happy Christmas, and here's a picture of beautiful Bruges taken just hours before I joined one of the last trains out of Brussels last Thursday.

Ah...Bruges...a beautiful city and one of which I have fond memories after several visits.
My band played a festival there last year and had an incredible time and were made to feel so welcome.
Lovely people, lovely beer and those buildings...
