I haven't been to Bruges since dropping in for a swift one or two on the way to Rotterdam for the European Cup Final in 1982. It's truly bloody beautiful. It makes you almost weep to see the tremendous architecture and the wonderful way the place has been maintained. Perhaps it should be an essential field trip for town planners who seem to have allowed our own cities to be desecrated by monstrous carbuncles, to borrow a phrase.
To borrow another one... it's colder than a well digger's ass here, but a wooly hat and a thermal vest means we can get out and enjoy the clear blue skies.

Never been to Bruges Bob but must make the effort. Love the Tom reference in the title BTW!
