10 things John Redwood should apologise for   » Permalink  |  TrackBack (0)

John Redwood is suggesting the Prime Minister should be apologetic. Perhaps Mr Redwood would like to join in. He could apologise for:

1. Voting for the Maastricht Treaty

2. Trying to give the impression that he voted for Maastricht because he was Eurosceptic.

3. Making a prat of himself by pretending to know the words to the Welsh national anthem.

4. Making a prat of himself by demanding an apology from the BBC for showing the film of him making a prat of himself by pretending to know the words of the welsh national anthem.

5. Supporting Section 28

6. Claiming £3,000 for decorating a bedsit... and claiming it twice!

7. Refusing to divulge the contents of Sir Thomas Legg's letter on repayment of expenses.

8. Opposing the lowering of the age of consent for homosexuality.

9. Not shutting up, when John Major told him to "put up or shut up".

10. Putting up, when told to "put up or shut up", dividing his Party and (to the delight of the nation) ensuring the Conservatives were unelectable for 15 years.

Ok... you don't have to apologise for that last one.

Bob you are Quackers. Read Rod Liddle in the Times this morning yet?

Yes, typical idle and sloppy Liddle journalism... he's a sort of Essex boy's Andrew Gilligan. You really do have to wonder why they pay his wages for this guff (oh, yes, it's Murdoch so it's Liddle, John Gaunt, Littlejohn, etc). Next stop, The Daily Mail.

If you are referring to his nonsense on the feeding of the geese, as opposed to his other crap which once again misrepresents Andrew Neather's remarks, then all I can say is... go and talk to the people who live nearby.

The ward councillors there have been inundated with local people saying, "about time too". There are clear signs saying do not feed the geese away from the pool, and if you do you may be fined. There is a road nearby which is over run by geese (and attracting swarms of rats) which is so bad it brings the traffic to a halt, because stupid people don't heed the signs.

Bob

Surprised Redwood's Victorian era view on rape didn't make your list.

Yes, good one Paul. That had slipped my memory.
