I think Dave is also concerned about the few ethnics being slected. In any event, if you have an all woman short list but there is only one short white woman and five big black men who do you choose?
And, what about the inbetweenies? Which camp is Iain Dale going to be in?
I would have thought that judging a person on merit should be the only criterion?
