This man should blog more often, but quality is better than quantity. Occupied Country on Neil Young, Wacko Jacko, and the Man City team of 1999. Brilliant stuff. On Jackson he says...
Sure I’ve been touched by the deaths of folk I admire – Lennon, Zappa, Sinatra etc., but I’ve never run outside screaming with anguish and giving snot-filled interviews to any camera crew I can find.
I `d leave 'touched' out of it on two counts in the case of Jacko. Reminds me of the great line in Rock School when Jack Black , who has pretended to be a teacher tries to explain the transforming redemptive experience he and the class have gone through to angry parents ....
" Look I `ve been touched by these children "
" WHAT.. !!! "
" And they have been touched by me ...."
" AAAAAARrgggg! "
I like the one about him ending up as a Scooby Doo villain , wandering around a fair ground in a mask. And he would have got sway with it if it wasn`t for ......(etc.)
