Idiot Wind   » Permalink  |  TrackBack (0)

Chris Grayling is an idiot. I just thought I shgould preface this piece by making that point. He is also the man that David Cameron wants to persuade us should be the Home Secretary. Now, behaving like a publicity seeking idiot wouldn't be a first, but for heaven's sake man, wait until you get the job before making a complete tit of yourself.

Today, Grayling gets the 'Tony Blair award for cheap shots at publicity which will never have the slightest chance of making it into law' . Like Blair's stupid notion of leading young offenders to cash points and taking their money as a punishment for anti-social behavior, Grayling's ridiculous plan to teach yobs how not to behave by stealing their mobile phones is totally bereft of common sense, and a desperate publicity seeking measure to try to show that the Tories have an idea.

It is, of course, just the sort of garbage to wind up the Daily Heil readers, but its chances of making in to law are probably even less than Grayling has of becoming Home Secretary. He inherited the job when David Davis threw his toys out of the pram, and if the Tories ever got in to office David Cameron would surely have to find someone other than this clown to run the Home Office.

I thought I heard this on the radio in the car. I assumed I'd mis-heard, because surely no-one could dream up such a half-arsed scheme...

In the aftermath of the G20 I'm sure allowing police to confiscate devices capable of taking pictures/recording videos is a great idea.

For once I agree entirely, this is a silly & illiberal stunt. Certainly not what I expect from the Tories, like the silly Blair polices you mention.

It would never happen if Davis was still Shadow Home Sec.
