There's one law for them....   » Permalink  |  TrackBack (0)

So... let's get this straight.

Douglas Hogg makes the mistake of claiming £2,200 for having his moat cleaned out. Opprobrium is poured on his head from a great height, and he is embarrassed into standing down at the next election.

Sir Peter Viggers claims £1600 for his floating duck house... and in addition to the scorn, he becomes a national joke, and he is embarrassed into standing down at the next election.

David Cameron claims just under £1000 for wrongly claimed items such as removing the wisteria from the chimney of his country home, and we are all expected to think he is some sort of bloody hero for confessing to it!

Although, Gideon Osborne wins the 'You're So Vain' Award for reclaiming £47 for two DVD of his own speeches! At least Jacqui Smith's husband wasn't getting his rocks off to his own movies!

"Although, Gideon Osborne wins the 'You're So Vain' Award for reclaiming £47 for two DVD of his own speeches!"

And the speeches were about giving tax payers value for money!!!

What can you say?

Oh come on Mr. Piper!

Ed Balls, Gordon Brown, Yvette Cooper, James Purnell, Jack Straw to name but a few - see:

http://page.politicshome.com/uk/expenses_publication_latest_revelations.html

Anything other than mortgage interest/rent and utility bills should come out of salary, same as the rest of us?

To coin a phrase - He who pays the piper.....?

Absolutely Mr Witterings. My point was not about the claims though, because there have been abuses on claims all round, but about the different way the media treat the two Tory backbenchers from the way they treat brave Mr Cameron. It clearly went completely over your head.

Are you sure about that?!

And by the way, how are your gypsy studies coming along? May we expect an erudite post on the subject and a proud boast of the way in which your council spends the people's money?

Well, as you know, I'm not one to boast... so I'll let the media do it for me...
http://www.thestirrer.co.uk/avoiding-a-black-country-belfast-1806091.html

"Credit then to Sandwell for considering the appointment of a Gypsy Liaison Officer and proposing an education month from next year in the borough’s schools.

Prejudice is a learnt behaviour, and teachers have a responsibility to give the kids in their care as broad an education as possible. If that means challenging and confronting the lies they learn at their parents’ knee, so be it.

Schools are not merely processing plants for the exam boards – and hopefully never will be.

Sandwell’s determination to avoid a Black Country Belfast is worth every penny."

Exit, stage left, basking in the glory.....

Ah yes, of course, the state in all its power and wisdom knows better than parents what's best for their children. Classic socialism!

Wow - what a day for duffles to try and pull you up for that. Let me guess, does he get all his news from American websites?

...but we're not the ones who claimed we were going to be "whiter than white" bob. Clearly that motto went out the window in recent days for your party

I was in D Wing at Wormwood Scrubs along with several of the Great Train Robbers when You're So Vain by Carly Simon was in the pop charts.

I suspect that Gideon would have been looked upon as having a golden ring by Gordon Goody...

Ah, thanks for clearing that up, Mr Mind. You were the lying treacherous bastards before, and you're the lying treacherous bastards now. I see. That's OK then.

Duffy... are you saying children shouldn't go to school at all? What an extraordinary argument. Errrrm, who introduced the 'national curriculum'? Why, that nasty socialist old bat Thatcher... that's who.

Bryn... only the more right wing redneck republican ones, sadly.

Oh Bob you do attract some nutters to your blog. Mr Duff “Ah yes, of course, the state in all its power and wisdom knows better than parents what's best for their children. Classic socialism!” What utter twaddle. I applaud Sandwell for attempting to make our children more aware of the Romany way of life. Many parents will not understand specialist subjects. Are you suggesting that everything outside of a parent’s knowledge is classic socialism?

Copper: "Oi, Duffy Jr, what are you doing with that brick?"

Duffy Jr: "Wot? I's about ter lob it frew vis jippoze window!"

Copper: "Are you sure that's wise, son?"

Duffy Jr: "Yer. Me Dad told us to!"

Copper: "That's it, you're coming down to the station!"

Duffy Jr: "FASCIST! SOCIALIST! WAAAHHHH!"

Discrimination in whatever form is still discrimination.

The sooner these Labour lunatics in Government are kicked out and some form of sanity prevails the better.

Mr Piper you are a fool and a buffoon and the quicker people of Sandwell realises what a complete pillock they have as a Councillor the better.

Reported in the Telegraph;-

They should be given longer consultations, and should be seen by GPs when they walk in without an appointment, even if doctors are fully-booked.
The average length of a consultation is five or ten minutes but travellers will be given 20 minutes and allowed to bring relatives into the consulting rooms.

The guidelines have been introduced because, under race laws, gypsies and travellers are defined as minority ethnic groups and the NHS is obliged to consider their special needs and circumstances.
Yet no special treatment is promised for other groups such as those from the Asian sub-continent or Africa.

The guidance forms part of the Primary Care Service Framework, drawn up by the NHS Primary Care Commissioning - an advisory service for local health trusts - to help all PCTs understand the Department of Health's policy.

Mr Cooton, if you had read the Commissioning Framework, rather than the cartoon version you have been spoon fed, you would know that it is specifically about ensuring that nomadic people, be they gypsies or others, are not provided with seperate services, but able to access services in the same way as everyone else.

As you are making a party political point out of it... perhaps you would tell us which party you support... as if we couldn't guess.
