Some dreadful news here on Bloggerheads about Poons (Dave Halligan). Not long after I started blogging my computer went belly up. Using a computer at work I moaned about my misfortune. Within hour Poons had been in touch, and said if I dropped the computer round to him in Worcester he'd have a look at it for me. I took it and was a bit sceptical when I entered his kitchen and clinked up against two bin bags of booze bottles and saw various bits of assorted computers scattered chaotically around the place. I needn't have worried. A couple of days later, Dave phoned to say he had done it. He charged hardly anything in comparison to the quote I had been given by the thieving gets at PC World. The computer lasted another 3 years until I bought an Apple Mac and if I ever experienced any technical hitches Dave was a willing helpline....
Other things didn't have such a happy ending, and Dave ended his own struggle last weekend.

Typical Poons. I find myself wishing he'd been as generous with himself as he was with others.
