Today's 'Let me play or I'll take my bat and ball home' award goes to Caroline Flint. Window dressing!!! You have got to be kidding me! Although, if what she is trying to say was that she was only given a job in the first place because of her looks and her gender, then it would certainly go some way to explaining it.
Just another self-important, self-indulgent Blairite prima donna. Bloody good riddance.
Meanwhile, Hagley Road to Ladywood does a number on Purnell... including the suggestion that under his welfare reforms he wouldn't be eligible for Jobseekers' Allowance because he had made himself voluntarily unemployed.
Well done Bob. Now if you can convince the rest of the Labour Party of the futility of PC politics, you might just be part of rebuilding your life's work into an effective political machine.
Well done David, you're a master at stating the art of the bleedin' obvious. I don't suppose it has occurred to you that the writer might have been making a little joke? Strewth!

I like my jokes funny.
Amazing how many unsuitable types Brown had chosen to appoint to his Cabinet isn't it?
I suppose that depends upon your definition of 'unsuitable types' - what a peculiar phrase. Personally I think a Tory Cabinet would be entirely composed of 'unsuitable types'.

We can all have or own view of who is unsuitable for government.
It is, however, bloody embarrassing for a Prime Minister, who appointed the previous government, to have to effect a substantial reshuffle and then belittle many of those who formed his original government as unsuited to the role.
David, what colour is the sky on Fantasy Island? Where did Brown belittle these people? All I heard was Brown saying positive things about Blears (apart from condemning her expenses fiddle, and quite rightly so), Flint, Purnell and Smith.
Oh no, I remember, you're the one who doesn't bother listening to what is being said, but prefers to be led by the nose by the gossip merchants in the Westminster wine bars.

Er, he's said that his new Cabinet is no stronger. I can think of no more belittling comment than "Bob Ainsworth is a better man for the job".
