A sound judge of character   » Permalink  |  TrackBack (0)

Richard Needham, the 6th Earl of Kilmorney, puts up a spirited defence of double-dipper Julie Kirkbride and her diverse family support group... supported by the taxpayer.

Now, before dismissing Needham as just another one of Iain's 'Help a Tory in Trouble' group, I think we need to look at his credentials. On the down side, he is a Tory, but on the upside, as you can see from Dale's website, he thought Thatcher was a "cow" so he must have some insight and the ability to judge a character accurately.

If you do plough through all the dross on Dale's post though, you will be rewarded with a little gem near the bottom of the piece....

"perhaps the media - especially Sky News - might like to defend its reporting of the petition in Bromsgrove. The woman behind it is a leading light in George Galloway's Respect party, yet as far as I know this fact hasn't been mentioned once. She's portrayed as some kind of heroic local citizen. And so she may be, but shouldn't her political background be transparent?"
This from a man who didn't think it was at all important for a Conservative activist to be transparent about his political affiliation when denigrating his MP in the media only a few days ago.

Hey Saul... which way to Damascus?

I notice Daley is now having a pop at the media feeding frenzy and calling for more balance etc. Don't recall much balance or restraint from Daley himself during the Damien McBride issue, in fact, Daley seemed to be everywhere stoking the flames for all he was worth.Live by the sword and all that....
