The Sound of Silence

You could have expected Britain’s foremost political blogger to have expressed some sort of view about Channel 4′s decision to broadcast a Christmas message by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad…. couldn’t you? Never slow to attack our very own state funded BBC for such serious infringements like changing one of its presenters, for instance, Iain Dale has remained strangely tight lipped about Channel 4 handing over the airwaves to a man who has questioned the very existence of the Jewish holocaust.
I’m certain it has nothing whatsoever to do with the work Iain and his Tory chums do for the Iranian state owned propaganda station PressTV. Although Iain did tell us just before Christmas….

This morning I got a rather lovely Christmas card from Press TV, the Iranian owned broadcaster which I appear on from time to time, which has been dubbed Mullah TV. It did strike me that if an Islamic TV station owned by Iran can send a card wishing me a Happy Christmas, then all is well with the world.

How very touching.

Bob, I haven’t commented on the broadcast partly because I haven’t seen it, and partly because I have nothing to add to what others have already said.
As to Ahmadinejad he is repulsive and it is astonishing that he is President of Iran. Hopefully the Iranian people will rectify that soon.
Had you ever bothered to watch any of my appearances on Press Tv you would know that I have been extremely critical of him on their programmes.

Well spotted! I reckon you are on the money with your explanation.
