Bob Piper has been a Labour Councillor for the Abbey
Ward in Sandwell, West Midlands, for nine years. He is a lifelong supporter of Aston Villa Football Club and a follower of Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
The views expressed here are mine in a personal capacity, not those of the Labour Party, Sandwell MBC, Aston Villa or Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Get it! Mine... just mine!
Well, it could be worse. He could join the crowd of nonentities in the Australian jungle... or worse still, pour humiliation after humiliation upon himself and mix with the snakes, slugs and assorted creepy things on This Week.
We love having our back garden filled with non-entities each year - the first series of IACGMOOH was filmed about five miles from where I live. The later ones were sadly located out of the tropics where the weather and wildlife is usually better for wimps.
Ironically the weather here has been glorious of late while the IACGMOOH camp area has been having some dreadful weather.
I've just watched the latest episode of IACGMOOH. Kilroy-Silk was covered in slime, rats, cockroaches, snakes and worms but he sailed through the task. I'd imagine that his experience of attending UKIP meetings must have been good training.
