I don't want to be uncomradely or personal, but for Charles Clarke I will make an exception.
As Home Secretary, you self-serving tub of lard, you were a bloody embarrasment. Many of us up for election at the time you were making an arse of yourself will not forget that easily. So why don't you and your little chums Byers and Milburn stop behaving as if you were the conscience of the Labour Party and go back to being the blairite has beens that you are.
The chattering classes at The Guardian and New Statesman might still think your views are relevant and earth shattering, but most Party members think you are a waste of good oxygen.
Don't get me wrong, as a Tory I would love Gordon to remain in power, it would make liberal Dave's job so much easier.
Surely we have to think about the country though and Gordon's extravagance with taxpayers' money to try and keep him in power is going to cripple this nation for many a year.
You should listen to Charles Clarke as he cares about the labour party, Tories are well glad that you don't.
Fred, I think you must be confusing me with someone who give a toss what Tories think about anything.
Also, thinking Clarke is a fat tosser doesn't make me a 'supporter' of Gordon Brown.

Everyone knows it is not the time elect a new leader.
We should
1. keep the present leader till the next election.
or
2. Wait till after the recession to get a new leader a new start, right before the next election.
Why would the tories think we are stupid enough to elect a new leader right before a recession so they lose any honeymoon period they have a chance of getting.
If we're going to make food and drink analogies, he's not so much a tub of lard, more a large beer barrel that seems to explode every few months once the amount of gaseous matter within reaches a certain level.
Listen. I know that you are all ears and no brain in between. As Home Secretary you travelled to Hull to open the new police station on Beverley Road in Hull. As soon as you left it was closed and has remained that way ever since. In the same way that this does not serve the community, your outburst does not. Dumbo, we already know that an elephant doesn't forget and that John Reid stood on your foot. Why not try sitting down and squash a few Tories in the process?
Just fantastic to see you Socialists fighting like ferrets in a sack. Please keep it up, all the way to the next election.
By the way, is Mickey Cool one and the same thing as Dirty European Socialist? I know that DES likes to disguise himself on occasion and that the majority of lefties posting on blogs are illiterate AND mental, but there is something about the pointlessness of his post, combined with the number of errors per keystroke, that has the whiff of my cuddly little friend from the lunatic fringe. If it's you, DES, please please please get back to your site and start blogging again - it's just priceless.
The guy is a traitor, rather see Labour lose than Gordon succeed.

Go Bob... I can't stand the man. I really hope that the mainstream Labour Party gets a grip so we can move on from these principal free professional troublemakers... incidently are you heading to Malvern in October?
From the BBC "Gordon Brown faces a backlash over his decision to rule out energy bill handouts, the unions warn." The bloody unions warn, who do they think is going to pay for these handouts ? They like Clarky need to button it, and Gordon needs to tell them so. The extra 50 the old are going to get needs to suffice, the others, well if you ain't working get a job, if you're poorly paid get an education and pack in smoking.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT:
'It is an offence under some ******g rule or other for one member of the Labour Party to rip off another Labour Party member (especially if they have jug ears)'.
What Liebour desperately needs is a conscience. I'm not sure that Charles Clarke is the right man to be the party conscience on account of being a fascist cretin. Frank Field is about the only Liebour MP I can think of that seems to have a conscience and spends at least part of his working day on the same planet as the rest of us.
The sky is currently a murky grey from what I can see through the drizzle. It's interesting to note that Jonah Brown came to visit the European Soviet Republic of the West Midlands yesterday and today they issue a severe weather warning. The man's a liability!
Actually, looking at the weather map it would appear the Great Leader has even made the weather better for you, although it's hard for me to judge as I cast my eyes Westward over the pool toward the Atlantic. I'll send you a picci.
