It appears this blog has been voted Best Labour Party supporting blog in the Witanagemot Club Blog Awards. As with most of these sort of things they are only a bit of fun, and the Witanagemot Awards do have a lot of categories to choose from, but this is possibly the only vote I have ever won, (if you exclude local government elections). This blog was 3rd in the same category last year, although this year I've dropped out of the top 3 in the Blogger most likely to vote for a donkey if you slapped the correct colour rosette on it (which may upset my MP John Spellar) despite Skipper's perverse suggestion in this thread that I was some sort of 'staunch loyalist'.
I would vote for anything that had the 'right coloured rosette on it' provided it was not called New Labour. Then I would have to think twice.
Luckily the constituency I live in has an MP who lives in the area, who has worked for a living and has experienced life outside of the rarefied atmosphere of University, Research Posts. Has survived the hurly burly of the TU movement. Breath of fresh air.
