The answer to the question is: Yes. As Irvine Welsh says...

It makes just about all of the writing on British TV look absolutely shit. It maddens me that BBC or ITV put out crap after crap after crap and they don't pick up something like this. We don't know what to do with quality. We wouldn't recognise it if it bit us in the arse.
Channel 4 were bad enough with The Sopranos. Despite its huge fanbase and the sales of the DVD box sets, they shunted it around the tv schedules until it ended up starting close to midnight on a weekday. But at least it made it on to mainsteam TV. Not everyone has satellite or cable, and not all of those that do can receive the FX channel.

But those who can, will be tuned in tomorrow night at 10pm.

Bob, I'm up to episode 8, first series. Just bought series two and three - I plan to take them to Cameroon with me.

And yes, it might just be the best TV show ever.

I can't wait to hear what they've done with the music this season!

What do you expect from the BBC when it's funded by a TV tax, quality programmes that you want to watch or what they want you to watch!?!
