Everybody hurts   » Permalink  |  TrackBack (0)

Been there, done that. Think raki, ouzo, retsina, grappa, (oh that night in Milan, the San Siro hero, my brain hurts) ....

That's the trouble with kids today... they drink too much!

My favourite drink is Pernod, which everyone else shuns. I've never actually been to France. It was the first proper drink I had. I was 13, and this one drink made me drunk. It was quite amusing really.

The only drink I've actually had abroad in that sense was Jägermeister, which I remember drinking in Austria (not quite its homeland, but close enough). I only drink it rarely, and it used to be even more rare, because I reserved it for special occasions like jiggering to other countries (which I don't do on a regular basis, and not sure that I even want to).

And when they say "don't mix your drinks, it'll get you ruined" all I hear is "mix your drinks, it'll get you ruined! Faster!"

Also, Kopparberg is ok, though not wonderful. But it's hard to find a decent cider. We all know what utter piss Strongbow and Blackthorn are, but it seems not to be so widely known that Magners is almost worthless.

It was witnessing that 'night in Milan' which led me to join the Cannock Temperance Society...
