Sex and drugs and senior Tories   » Permalink  |  TrackBack (0)

A top Tory funder, a man who donated 25,000 pounds to Boris Johnson's Mayoral campaign, is exposed as participating in cocaine-sniffing orgies, and what does a top Tory blogger have to say about it? Well, it's all Harriet Harman's fault apparently for not opening up legal brothels to allow Laidlaw and co. to get their leg over in. What a desparately sad attempt to deflect attention. Presumably Iain and his Tory colleagues also want to see the legalisation of hard drugs too. I suppose when you consider Dominic Fisher's (PragueTory) allegations that at least one Tory front bench spokesman was an alcohol, substance and self-abuser, it wouldn't come as too much of a surprise.

The only honourable thing would be for Cameron to resign. Not a problem with Boris, he'll be a broken man soon enough. Although we do not live in London we believe so strongly that Ken is the man for the job, that we have hired a bus and "Pensioners for Ken" will be casting our vote in his favour when required.See Tone has come out in support of his old mucker Gordon, after his other very good friend said Gordon was rubbish. Gordon must think a lot of Tone, and Tone must think a lot of Gordon.

"The only honourable thing would be for Cameron to resign."

Ahahahaha. Is this the Chris Paul fan club or something?

It's a bit of sleaze. It's nothing. It's Bryant in front of the mirror in his undercrackers. Get over yourself.

The Tories are unfortunately a little timid on this point. It's us classical liberals like me (and the Adam Smith Inst) who argue for legalisation of them all....the brothels and the drugs.

As I said with the Max Mosely scandal, we have no right to know about people's private lives in general. Even so, I think that those people charged with representing constituents or our country at some level should be expected to behave appropriately.

So what?

Newmania asks... so what? And as usual, we have to spell it out for him in little words . If the Tories argue for the legalisation of Class A drugs, I have no problem with it. But if they want to condemn those that use Class A drugs to prison, but think it is OK for them to attend coke-fuelled orgies... that smacks (oops) of hypocrisy.

My main point was that Iain mentioned the story not to be censorious of the good lord, but to try a weak effort to take the piss out of Harriet Harman with some drivel about prostitution being OK because it had gone on for centuries. Well, that's a good argument for war, rape and pillage too... but is it Conservative Party policy?

Bob, I think we should leave the Conservative Party alone, after all, they are doing ever so well in the polls (please go to the Telegraph if you don't believe me).

I think it is Labour's fault that Dave has perverts in the ranks and I blame Alastair Darling for everything.

'He' may be a hypocrite , I don't know I`ve never met him and I`m not the judgemental kind , but other than that....

So what? He wasn`t hurting anyone

I will never understand this peculiar horror the left have of sex and sensual pleasure in general .I was thinking that today leafing through the New Spartsman. Never an article about fashion unless it is to deplore it. Nothing can ever be enjoyed unless it is good for you in some way, theatre must have a message , television must perform a social function. Its an interesting phenomenon and you can trace the splitting of the English temperament certainly back to the Cavalier Poets and their Miltonic counterparts . I enjoy both really . In London what do we have it is not Round head versus Cavalier, well Boris is a cavalier anyway. The traditional vices are for Conservatives to have their fingers in the wrong knickers and Labour to have their fingers in the Till. Ken does not but his cronies certainly do as do the developers backing him

"Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose."

As I have no doubt you used to mutter in Paris...

Oh very droll, I bet Derek Conway laughed out loud at that one.... and Neil Hamilton was probably sweeping away the tears as he read it.

Certainly the tories have a long history of scandals minted from a trousers around the ankle template, but when it comes to dipping, their fingers have always been as busy as their dicks.
