Did Boris Johnson really pose for the media waving a 20 pound note around as if he was about to give it to a busker... and then trouser it the moment the stunt was over? If Jon Gray's story is true it was a pretty mean trick, and the busker, Claire Toomey is quite right to be peeved.

Goodness me - this is an old and untrue story - crickey if this is all you have got against the TORY candidate then I despair. The real story is that Boris gave Claire a bundle of change like any like minded and generous person. This should be a story about rewarding buskers who entertain and deserve the public's support.

"Crikey" ???? Crickey???

This isn't Boris himself under a pseudonym, is it?

This is rubbish. Boris gave her some change. How dare the dirt machine of the Labour Party use this poor girl as a tool to whip up dirt because their candidate is useless.

Vote 1 Boris for London Mayor

Bob, I appreciate that Sandwell is a long way from London, but this story is as accurate as a Lee Jasper denial.

Who made it up? It is worthy of the Prince of Darkness himself!

It seems there were a lot of people there on the day... or the denial service is working well.

Zach... is that the useless candidate who has already seen the Tories off twice? Doesn't say much for the Tory candidates then, does it?

This story is NOT TRUE. I have a first hand source who SWEARS this is not true, and it just shows how desperate the anti-boris brigade are getting, now the truth is starting to kick in about exactly who would be great for London.

Boris definitely met Claire, gave her his best smile, some change and moved on. END OF STORY. Check the facts, this is so not Boris.

You may, and I stress, may, be right Angela, I wasn't there and I don't have a 'first hand source' although getting Boris' best watermelon smile must have been very distressing for the poor girl.

As I say elsewhere, when Tory bloggers like dizzy, guido and dale rejoice in spreading salacious gossip, innuendo and downright lies... they can hardly get precious when it backfires on the likes of Johnson.

Hi Bob
First the Tory boys said I had made up the story but now they claim that he was there and did give money, even though Claire Toomey has flatly denied he gave her money (Guido)!

Borisgate?
