Bob Piper has been a Labour councillor for the Abbey Ward in Sandwell, West Midlands, for eight years. He is a lifelong supporter of Aston Villa Football Club and a follower of Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

Ah Bob, bless yer cotton socks - you DO realise she stepped down about 18 years ago now, do you?

What I don't get is where the protest songs are now. Poverty is if anything worse than in 1997. Is the best thing we've got that tosser from Radiohead whining on sanctimoniously and telling everyone to vote Watermelon - I beg pardon - Green?

Believe me, I'm fully aware she stepped down, ooops sorry, was kicked out on her arse... it brings a smile to my face every day.

If you seriously believe poverty in the UK is worse now than 1997 you are puddled.
