Ward in Sandwell, West Midlands, for nine years. He is a lifelong supporter of Aston Villa Football Club and a follower of Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
The views expressed here are mine in a personal capacity, not those of the Labour Party, Sandwell MBC, Aston Villa or Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Get it! Mine... just mine!
Yes, on Friday our brief pre-election campaign break comes to an end and the serious pavement stomping will start. I lost nearly two days of my holiday snuffling around with a foul cold bug which severely limited my mojito intake, and meant I had to pass up a drink with Tim Worstall... but as the sun has shone gloriously every day I will be returning with my usual scarlet nose for all the right reasons. However, as regular readers will know, I haven't dropped down the hill to the internet cafe with any regularity, but there are a couple of postings elsewhere I would draw your attention to:
The Fat Man in the Bathtub has only gone and done it... and the pictures to prove it are here. Dwain Chambers eat your heart out.
The Ministry of Truth has been delving in the murkier corners of Wee Wullie Hagues life and that Man Ashcroft's name comes up again. (Warning: Reading this post can seriously reduce the amount of time spent enjoying the fresh air blowing in off the Atlantic).
Welcome home to the world post Brown. 16% behind and with PR people ordering the Cabinet to sit in huddles and think up ways to win an election. Hazel Blears back peddling on immigration Labour misusing public money to campaign and London looking as if it has just had enough of Ken Livingstone
