Bob Piper has been a Labour Councillor for the Abbey
Ward in Sandwell, West Midlands, for nine years. He is a lifelong supporter of Aston Villa Football Club and a follower of Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
The views expressed here are mine in a personal capacity, not those of the Labour Party, Sandwell MBC, Aston Villa or Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Get it! Mine... just mine!
IAF: Good question. He blows his own trumpethere. I would say, that it is something of a bum note I am hearing. He thinks it's music to my ears. But, he can be foolish. He admits this. It's important to have someone around who can tell me I'm being a fool. Because sometimes I am. I think its important too, and I tell him in my own way what I think of his foolish ways. His problem is, and he admits it, that he's temperamental. There is more, from the same source, "Iain is the showman. He can be very hotheaded. It's not just that he speaks before he thinks - he shouts loud before he thinks. If anyone isn't familiar with his ways, he can come across as rude. If he has a temper tantrum the staff get edgy, but it's over in five minutes".
Now that I have taken the time to find out about Iain Dale and what makes him tick. Perhaps, he can extend the same courtesy to me?

I have formed the opinion that Iain Dale's Diary is a bog standard blog...
