By undermining the academy scheme and sabotaging choice and private provision in the NHS Brown was quietly tacking left but I think it is clear he will lose on this course .
A while ago a few of us speculated that Brown would take a daring dash right probably on IHT in his first 100 days and I bet he wishes he had. If he is going to save himself at the Polls he has to head sharp right back into Blair territory and beyond which is where the middle now sits . Personally I think it would take a man of far greater boldness than he has ever shown to even try and to be fair he owes the Unions and 'Labour is best when its Labour' head bangers too many favours .
