I thought out of respect for newmania, who seems to have taken a bit of time to post a rambling comment on my blog, I should take the trouble to reciprocate and visit his site.
Well, today here he is is toadying up to Iain Dale who has revealed he fell at the first hurdle in applying for a safe Parliamentary seat in Maidstone. Leaving aside newmania's view that Conservative Party candidates up and down the country are... dull mediocrities (difficult to argue with that one), in the comments section, he tries to console Dale with this charming piece of bigotry in the comments section:
"C (that's his little friend Croydonian)..hi ...yes iain does not have a thin skin...I think its hard if you are a gay man you know , for me a job is just that but their careers are importnat for them"
Breathtaking, isn't it! It might just be a job for straight-up newmania types... but gay blokes, they really need them careers.

I was repeating a sentiment expressed to me by male X and male X who run things here ( In the Party) and are married with Dachshunds. I wouldn`t know , but it made sense to me that with no children on the horizon ones perspectives might be different? Is that bigoted ?
Why not run that past some gay people if you know any....
You make think this is clever but it only looks spiteful ,( and I have no reason to toady to anyone obviously )

I'm not sure whether it is bigoted or just plain stupid. Do heterosexual people who don't have kids not feel they would like a career? Do people with kids not value a career? as I say, I thought you were expressing a prejudice, but now I'm satisfied that it was just an idiotic statement.
newmania does tend to ramble, it's his style donchaknow?

Not in my experience and I do mix with friends of Dorothy alot for one reason or another .Only people Bob, perhaps someone of your generation and Northern latitude ,feels a bit uncomfortable about it and you have to overcompensate a bit but if I were you I would relax. They really aren`t that touchy.....In fact it is possible that the gay community could manage without your patrolling virtual space sniffing out implicit thought crimes.
I think there may be different priorities it really doesn`t matter much one way or the other does it.Anyway stop being so bitchy and emotional you`re beggining to sound distinctly gay !

"beggining (sic) to sound distinctly gay!"
And just exactly how does that sound newmania?
Oh no... you're not giving me the 'some of my best friends are'... are you?, All of whom are no doubt 'members of the gay community'. Where do you find the 'gay community'... for lords sake you stupid boy?
'They really aren't that touchy' - is that touchy as in "it only looks spiteful"? I must have touched a nerve.
Stop digging, you're just making yourself more pathetic every time you post.
And I ain;t lookin' for one, having been with my partner for 12 years. Nice of you to care, though.

I never thought that was what newmania was implying anyway, Iain, although I bet you also don't feel you have any more need of a political career because of that either.
I love reading posts including the immortal words "some of my best friends are gay"
Always guaranteed to raise a smile!

If you touch a gay person can you become gay, serious question, tell you why I'm disabled swear to almighty god I am disabled, sorry forgot I do not believe in god, OK look my legs are gone will that do. I get asked all the time are you really disabled, and when you put your hand out to shake hands with somebody they will not, or they will wipe their hands after wards, boy great feeling.
Lets be honest working for any one is important, it's important for gay people for disabled people for anyone who has to to work for a living to keep your self or a family.
Newmania is well known to most Labour party sites, with his comments, you dare not say anything against Thatcher.
Lets not worry to much about what people say I have to much to worry about to be bothered about bigots.
