Harking back

A couple of days ago Tory blogger dizzy was whining here because he thought he was being asked to accept the responsibility for the actions of the Conservative Party towards homosexuals when he was still in short trousers at the time. Of course, he’s quite right, the lad can’t be blamed. However, the Conservative Party can, and I think we have a responsibility to inform the electorate now just exactly what the nasty party were like when they were in power.
After all, they still blame Karl Marx who died in 1883 for the Russian revolution in 1917 and Stalin in the 1930′s…. and barely a week goes by when some Tory twerp isn’t harking back to the ‘Winter of Discontent’ or some other event from before dizzy was even a twinkle in his father’s eye. So if we have to refresh people’s memories (or even remind those callow youths to young to know these things) about John Major and ‘Black Wednesday’ or Clause 28, or Tory sleaze…. (Oh no, we don’t have to do that, they’ll do it for us)… then so be it.
