Ignore all the jingoism and xenophobic gibberish from the right when they call for a referendum on the European Reform Treaty... instead read Harry Barnes on why we should have a referendum, and why we should vote 'yes'... for A Democratic, Social And Federal Europe.
It's certainly painful to read the hypocritical bleating from various parts of the right-wing press and blogosphere about the "need" for a referendum.
I'm personally in favour of having one. It needs to be on the simple issue of this treaty though. Not, as it could easily be turned, on whether we remain in Europe, or whether previous decisions were correct.

I'd vote "yes" by the way.
