I have had a few people e-mailing me asking for the blog address of Mr Peter Francis, the officer who was harassed into submission by Walsall Council which was the subject of a spectacular cover up full and frank investigation by the Audit Commission. The Audit Commission concluded that
"making up false allegations, failure to institute a fair investigation, enforced "secondment" to another department, failure to respond to any grievances, failure to allow a response to investigation findings, a rejection of any thought that the Disability Discrimination Act applied, setting up obstacles to prevent access to information in preparation for the recruitment process"
... did not constitute a campaign against Peter. As any reasonable person would, he begs to differ and his site is at What Walsall Did To Me.
Update: From what I am told, in the spirit of open government and democracy, Walsall Councillors were given a copy of the Audit Commission report with a letter advising them that they should not comment on it publicly or they would risk a report to the ever useless Standards Board of England. Fearless as ever, the noise from the councillors was a barely audible squeak.

Have you read the other report by Doug Bradbury , commissioned by Walsall council, into the links with the departure of other officers also connected to NFR funds, the procedueres in relation to Peter Francis and the management of NRF funds and whistle blowing?
There are no significant criticisms of the council, no findings that would explain what happened to the hundreds of thousands of pounds of NRF that disappeared and cannot be traced and no criticism of the Whistle blowing procedurers despite Walsall council paying Peter Francis £35,000 to drop his claim under the whistle blowing legislation
Bradbury admits his 'investigation' was a desktop review.
He didn't even interview Peter Francis!!!
God knows how much that report cost, but it would have been cheaper to buy a bucket of cheap, thin, pale, paint used to cover walls.

Or a thick carpet and a big brush by the sound of it. I know Doug Bradbury used to write science fiction... perhaps he's got a relation who just doesn't do science.
