Walsall cover up   » Permalink  |  TrackBack (0)

Regarding my last post about the way in which Peter Francis was treated... he is now blogging his experiences at What Walsall Did to Me.... although as someone commented on the last posting, certain Council Officials are trying to get it closed down.

Hi Bob,

Funny you should post that Walsall Council may try to close Peter Francis' blog as, 2 hours ago I did a Google search on 'Peter Francis Walsall Council' and his blog site was on page one of the results, two minutes ago I tried to access it again and it was nowhere to be seen - spooky, eh?!! Anyway, I urge everyone to look out for the District Auditor's report on Tuesday 11th September - should be interesting reading???

Got some interesting info. Ever heard of chris sutton flintshire auditor. Ever heard of Jillings inquiry and waterhouse report? Chris was sacked when he challenged overpayments, and other wrongs. It was linked to the children's home abuse in the 80s.
Well i think the same is happening in walsall i complained of over payments to a childrens home as well as complaining of the grooming of a little boy who was a resident there.Complaints was suppressed for many yrs and never officially answered.I did get the home closed down though it was in Shropshire.A funding panel member was aware of my complaints of overpayments and complaints of grooming but he still gave references for the directors of the childrens home even though he was aware one director was sacked from his previous employment for therapy techniques with children and the other confessed to knowing two convicted paedophiles and said they was nice men.The funding panel member the directors and the convicted paedophiles all worked in and around the same home in the 80s that was notorious for abuse and are mentioned in the waterhouse report.
I have gathered evidence that shows how flawed the waterhouse report was.
Not only do i think something very dodgy is going on with in walsall ss departments and needs an independant investigation in to suppressed or ignored complaints of abuse but also green lane projects (homeless hostel) for the conduct of certain staff.
Peter Francis may be aware of extra payments to children's homes providers or foster carers or similar discrepancies.
This is just a brief but if you are interested i would of course give you more details.Peter Thorpe moved to coventry and said he would take my complaints with him and address them from there. But he never did, nor did paul cooper who said that legal services was dealing with the complaints.
Want to start being more pro active in regards to these issues and i am going to write to the secretary of state to independently investigate so any help or advice would be a tremendous help. Many thanks Joanne Shaw

Hi bob
Back again, however it is to amend something. The name of the auditor i mentioned was in fact Andy Sutton not chris.I think i got confused for a moment and was thinking of Chris Clode who founded freedom to care(whistle blowers).
I mention him now because i contacted him over two yrs ago for help and advice and also to ask if he was still in touch with Andy Sutton and if so could he mention to him about extra funding going to this children's home. I had asked that if he new of away that i could find out more in regards to this in the sense of did he know any walsall auditors that had suspicions of unexplained overpayments.I never did hear from Andy Sutton but Chris clode was a tremendous help and i am greatful beyond words for his help.
Jo

Only came across this 2007 reference to me recently. Unfortunately Freedom to Care wound up in late 2008. I have retired from actively supporting whistleblowers (age rather than reluctance otherwise), but I have incorporated my experiences and the stories told to me by whistleblowers in my book- if you or your site readers are interested, see my website www.thetomorrowsthatsing.co.uk
Chris Clode.
