Thanks everyone   » Permalink  |  TrackBack (0)

Well, I'm back! At the moment it would appear Boris, Tim, Craig and Clive are still down, but I know Clive has been working like a trooper since Thursday to back up all the blog files and move them to another server. If anyone is looking for a webhost then I would heartily recommend Clive at UK Today (Although you cannot get there at the minute). Anyway, it makes a change to be attracting attention for something I hadn't said.... although the Leader of Sandwell Council will probably have blown a gasket when he saw my name caught up in all of this.

Thanks to everyone who has supported the campaign for Tim and Craig, particularly Justin who kicked it all off. The list below is from Justin's site. Also many thanks to those who offered me webspace or to be a guest poster, the good folks at Blairwatch, Cassilis and John Hirst were particularly encouraging. As Tom Watson said, this Usamov creature must be one hell of a unifier if he can get Iain Dale writing in support of Tim Ireland's free speech.... perhaps now Iain will allow Tim back on his own comments in the new spirit of glastnost. Update: This list has grown.

Apologies to those people who left comments this afternoon. There was a technical hitch which meant they were deleted... but thanks for the nice comments anyway.

Hey Bob,

Great to see the first of the lost soldiers return.

They Boris went native and disappeared into the jungle. Terrible...

Pleased you're back! You'll also find my piece about it today on Liberal Democrat Voice, to add to your list.

Did you enjoy your holiday?

"perhaps now Iain will allow Tim back on his own comments in the new spirit of glastnost".

And, restore my link in his sidebar which he removed in a fit of pique because I supported Tim by a reciprocal link. And, which he stated he would put back. Or, is he the Alisher Usmanov of the Tory Party?

I am glad that your blog is now back online.

Why not ask Schillings for an apology and a financial donation to a suitable charity ?

That your site was taken down at all was outrageous. I am glad that you are back. Do you have a case against Fasthosts?

gracchi, keep a look out for updates at Chicken Yoghurt. Not being the litigatious type I don't think I'll be pursuing Schillings (I bet they've got a lawyer or two to crank up the costs) of Fasthosts. Anyway, I think they've both done immeasurable damage to their reputations by their actions.

Once again, thanks for the nice comments.

When it comes to the Britian's defamation laws justice is not only blind, she's is off her face while holidaying in an expensive resort thousands of miles away. They are simply a means for the rich and powerful people to say what they like, while preventing the poor and powerless from saying what they think about the rich and powerful.

I noticed an hour ago that Boris Johnson is back online again. Tim Ireland's site is up too, but currently it only has a "Test" message. Craig Murray and Clive Summerfield are currently still down.
