Is this the last real Labour Party Conference   » Permalink  |  TrackBack (0)

Tony Benn prepares to attend his last real Labour Party Conference. What all three parties are working towards is the sort of convention flag-waving rallies that so typify US elections. The days when elections are fought on the doorstep may well be coming to an end. We will be shown the rallies on our widescreen plasma sets and then by "hitting the interactive button" or "logging on to our website" we can 'do' democracy without even leaving our armchair.

I must be the only one who is now sad to be a Labour party ex member all those wasted years fighting for sod all.

I watch New Labour using professors and so called doctors from America who come over here to debate the welfare reforms, who are all being sponsored by Unam Provident. I watch Rodri Morgan open a University department who job it is to look at ways of getting sick and the disabled back to work, which again is sponsored by this company from America which has been fined millions and maybe billions because of fraud, it's now in America losing it stock market share and it runs to us here, and we take it in because it has money to splash around. Morgan is now worried so he says because Wales seems to be turning away from Labour, yes we are.

A phone survey has shown people in my area are so angry, and are turning to other parties.

Last year Labour lost it's Labour AM with a landslide win for Plaid.

And what does Labour come up with some flag flying stupidity of a conference. I'm severely disabled and now I can understand why some Muslims would be willing to die for a belief.
