Well spotted Bob - I should have hat tipped you for drawing the original letter to my attention.
Your readers got a fuller version than the Guardian's, I was sorry to have to leave out the bit about PPP (or PFI or whatever) not being wonderful but being better than no investment which seems to be the alternative. Lorks I'm sounding like Maggie 'there is no alternative' Thatcher - time for a lie down...
