Hope you enjoyed it Bob, I can see from the photdgraph all the local bighitters were there. Looked at the Stirrer site for the interview and saw the story about a couple of the fascists walking out of Council because of Sid's elevation (if that's the word)to the Mayorship. I miss everything.

As you know I've been out of the country for all of the leadership hooha so far and it is nigh on impossible to get accurate and up to date info on uk politics in southern egypt.
So having returned I am a bit confused. How come your man Cruddas decided tyo nominate Gordon brown rather John Mcdonnell?

No idea, Paul, although I suspect it is because Cruddas isn't what the media like to call 'hard left'. Looking at those backing Cruddas I think you'll find it includes a number of people from across the party. My reasons for backing Cruddas are not necessarily policy positions as his commitment to being Deputy Leader of the Party, not the government, and his pledge to reinvigorate the Party and perhaps reinstate some democracy in areas where it is much needed. Having said that, his commitment to social (council) housing is forcing the other candidates to address the issue, and his 'on the ground' opposition to the BNP is also to his credit.
