Bob Piper has been a Labour Councillor for the Abbey
Ward in Sandwell, West Midlands, for nine years. He is a lifelong supporter of Aston Villa Football Club and a follower of Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
The views expressed here are mine in a personal capacity, not those of the Labour Party, Sandwell MBC, Aston Villa or Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Get it! Mine... just mine!
I have been laid low with a particularly noxious virus for the last 24 hours and it is dangerous to be too far away from decent sanitation facilities, so, I have found time to tidy up the links, adding a few, deleting some and rearranging them to enable a new category to cover our local bloggers.
There is a definite emphasis on youth for the recent additions. Not only local Labour member John the Student, but I've also added Kingstanding-based Brummie Tory. I barely agree with a word he writes, but he's brash and opinionated and maybe one day he'll see the error of his ways. Another young blogger added is Edinburgh-based Labour supporter Kezia Dugdale (you know you're getting old when the bloggers appear so young).
Added to the non-aligned section is Blockhead Magazine because I really like the concept
Bloggers who appear to have fallen in battle include Jo Salmon, Proscrybed Thoughts, the Cramlington Village Councillor, Daniel Carden and Barry's Beef. If you guys are only resting, let me know and I'll reinstate the link.
PADRA did have a blog for their little patch of Bearwood, but it doesn't seem to have been updated for a while. I've figured out how to remove Prague Tory and added a couple of extras to my list you may want to check out - Don't Trip Up - centre left; People's Commissar - Labour; and Thoughts of a Thatcherite - self explanatory I think.
