Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse. Last week Karren Brady, Managing Director of a second division football club (OK... I know they don't call it the second division, but it is second rate) said she wanted to become the Mayor of Birmingham if such a position existed. Now, someone from a second rate political party, not content with keeping his councillors salary and his MPs allowances, has thrown his hat in the ring. I like the way the article says he has transformed the Lib Dems in Birmingham from no-hopers into a party clinging to Mike Whitby's coat tails running the city council in partnership with the Conservatives.
