Senior Civil Servants Hate Brown. Good!

Those of us on the left can but live in hope that Gordon Brown will not continue with the worst excesses of Blair’s New Labour project… if he becomes Leader. One pleasing sign, at least, is that he appears to be detested by senior civil servants…. and the feeling seems to be mutual. The nonsense in the opinion polls of Cameron opening a wider gap over a Brown administration are just so much froth. Brown isn’t a party leader yet, Cameron is. Let us see a fair comparison, perhaps the Guardian would like to tramp the streets and ask whether people feel wee Georgie would be a better Chancellor than Gordon Brown.

  1. It’s hard to see why Brown would dedicate his life to attaining high office if not to push an agenda he presumably believes in. It’s what he’s elected to do. If this is an insight into his lordship’s memoirs, we can expect a very dull read.
And now he’s a tax cutter too! After Osbourne said ‘stability before tax cuts’.
    Ha, ha, ha!

  2. Miles says:

Perhaps the loopy lord was standing up for the poor.
I can’t believe this budget is pulverising the single low-paid.
Yet another day when I’ve nearly left the party!
