Bob Piper has been a Labour Councillor for the Abbey Ward in Sandwell, West Midlands, for nine years. He is a lifelong supporter of Aston Villa Football Club and a follower of Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

I thought you were supposed to be taking it easy up in the Lakes?! How come you've time to blog and to cast aspersions at me over on Tom W's fine blog? Shouldn't you be up on Great End or similar? But I agree it's a shame to say bye bye to The Daily...

Wi-Fi in the hotel mate. Anyway, the Old Man is covered with snow and I'm making a run for it before the bloody awful cold, wet stuff gets to settle at sea level.
