A piece from Dirty Leftie about the power v principles dilemma.
“Being elected is what enables our principles. On this, Blair is sound. But election without ‘Labour values’ or ‘Labour principles’ is as falacious as being unelectable but socialist to the hilt.”
or, as Kinnock once said…
“We know that power without principles is ruthless, sour, empty, vicious… We also know that principle without power is idle sterility.”
A situation which is not just applicable to the Labour Party, as a significant number of traditional Conservative supporters appear to be caught on the horns of the same dilemma.

I knew if I came here long enough, you would say something that I agreed with!
Patience, patience, Tommy. Everything comes to those who wait… including death.
