I felt a bit sorry on hearing that Milan Baros had moved on. He was never that popular at Villa Park, with most supporters I suspect feeling he was just another wealthy football mercenary who couldn't give a toss for the club. Well, if that was the case, he wasn't alone there, however, his propensity for diving made him unpopular with opposing supporters and a good many home ones too for that matter, and the manner of his leaving on Saturday indicates he will not be going with the supporter's best wishes.
So, whilst I wasn't sorry for Milan (I'm sure his agent will have secured a good payout all round) I do regret we never saw the best of him and we will all look a bit sickly if he goes on to lift the Champions League with Lyon. But, no time for spilt milk, he's gone now and John Carew has come in... (for a lot less than the reported £2million a year Baros was pocketing) together with Ashley Young from Watford (who immediately showed how much they were missing their superstar by earning only their second win of the season) who we are told by Les Ferdinand is
Sounds good, eh? Worth ten million quid of anybody's money... although if people are offering daft money for a donkey like Upson the world has truly gone mad!

Hopefully these new recruits will give O'Neil the talent he needs in order to turn Villa into a winning side.
