I sometimes have a crisis of conscience not very often but sometimes. One such moment was around the jailing of the alleged historian Irvine for holocaust denial in Austria. I pondered for a second or two as to the effectiveness of such a law and the effect on freedom of speech and human rights etc.
Then I went to a book and looked at pictures similar to your post, Belsen,Auschwitz,Buchenwald.
How can they get away with it?
Next year Bob we will do something if I have to organise it myself.
Hi Bob, I don't normally post on political blogs on work related stuff, but if you would like some help on this, email me and I can help with planning for 2008.

I've been to Auschwitz and seen the displays of hair, teeth, lampshades made of human skin and the gas chambers and ovens. And then you realise that this was going on, in my case, only 5 years before I was born, perpetrated by civilised, developed people less than 1000 miles away. And I shiver. Lets hope there's as many of us shivering for long enough to ensure it can NEVER happen again.
