The rather confused PragueTory responded to a question from one of his commenters about whether he had considered standing as a Tory MP by saying “I'll give it some thought”. This was a full 3 hours after he had stated his intention to stand as an Independent in Birmingham, Erdington against Sion Simon (presumably, “vote for me and then I'll tell you who I am" will be his campaign slogan).

Well, whichever way he gets into Parliament (snigger), news of Dominic’s political ambitions will no doubt be welcomed by his favourite Tory politician, George Osbourne, the Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer. Although following what Dom appears to have written about him in November, I suspect he wasn’t on Ozzy’s Xmas card list this year.

Hat Tip to Justin and Unity for the digging.

Friends. Romans. Countrymen. Lend me you ears. I come to bury Praguetory, not to praise him...

Hehehehe...

I don't think he really gets this anonymous blogging thing.

Who else would go around leaving messages on various websites (looking for friends) saying: 'My name is Dominic Fisher, I am a natural Tory and I am moving to Prague from where I will write an anonymous blog at www.praguetory.blogspot.com'?

He's since corrected his mistake, but Google's cache is so very slow to update. He'd make a great Tory MP; a bit like Boris, but without the pretensions to intellect.

Isn't it rather bad form to attempt to 'out' or partially 'out' an anonymous blogger? If he wants to remain anonymous, that's up to him surely?

For clarity, I meant yours Bob.

Er, I've got a small bone to pick with you Peter, as Stephen Newton points out Dominic Fisher outed himself...

I cannot imagine for one second why you think so, Kevin. Of course, I'm not entirely sure which 'career' you think I have ended... up to now I hadn't considered I had got a career. If you mean 'political' career, that will be decided by the electorate in my Ward, not by Tory toy boy bloggers.

Dominic's deleting comments that contradict his story and he's turned comment moderation so I'll post this here:

Praguetory: You outed yourself long before Bob did.

As I understand it you posted a spoof of Cameron to which 'offense' was taken. PT championed the cause of those who were offended being the upright citizen he is.

Well today he posts said image on his own site along with a second similar image.

Does this mean people only take offense when these images are on your site - or is it that he doesn't give a damn about their feelings after all?

He is complaining that you 'outed' him. I missed any reference to his sexuality on your blog.

I'm confused, can you please explain?

C4... you are obviously mistaking me for someone who gives a toss who you are, but as you obviously need readers I thought I would allow your comment anyway.

Have you considered how this flamewar you seem to be instigating could be damaging to your political career? On second thoughts, carry on, it makes interesting reading....

Damon... how sweet of you to come to your fellow teeny tory's defence. I didn't initiate it. I've known PragueTory's name for 6 weeks and he re-started it by dragging my name into a row he was having with Unity. As for damaging MY political career... are you telling me you agree that George Osbourne is all those nasty things pragueTory calls him....

Try not to repeat them on your blog though, eh? Could kill more than your political career.

C4:

Are you actually serious, or just trying to make a dull 'gay' joke?

Assuming you are serious - your blog cites both university's at which you studied and the specific degree courses you undertook.

That's more than enough to get started on.

Of course, some things make tracing an ID stupidly easy and students, especially recent ones, are noticably prone to making dumb mistakes, like posting the results of SU elections in which they stood on their blog and ID'ing which of the candidates is them...

I hope you're not that dumb, C4...
