Yesterday was my son's 18th birthday. As he seems determined to drive his old dad into a state of financial ruin, I thought I would see whether he could be engaged by the Tory Tossers debt pages. According to David Davis' press officer, "What those of us over thirty have to remember is that this is not aimed at us. It's aimed at what David Davis last year called the iPod Generation." So I showed it to the lad, as he seems to have a set of i-pod headphones welded into his ears... modesty prevents me telling you what he said, but part of it seemed to concern bullocks!
I showed it to a work colleague, a tactical Labour voter in a Labour seat (by tactical I mean he would never vote Tory). He just couldn't understand it at all.
"Why would it make anyone vote for them" was his simple comment.
